TheConfederationofAsia-PacificChambersofCommerceandIndustry(CACCI)isaregionalgroupingofapexnationalchambersofcommerceandindustry,businessassociationsandbusinessenterprisesinAsiaandtheWesternPacific、Itisanon-governmentalorganizationservingasaforumforpromotingthevitalroleofbusinessmenintheregion,increasingregionalbusinessinteraction,andenhancingregionaleconomicgrowth.Sinceitsestablishmentin8966,CACCIhasgrownintoanetworkofnationalchambersofcommercewithatotalnowof28PrimaryMembersfrom26countriesorindependenteconomies.ItcutsacrossnationalboundariestolinkbusinessmenandpromoteeconomicgrowththroughouttheAsia-Pacificregion.CACCIisanon-governmentalorganization(NGO)grantedconsultativestatus,Rostercategory,undertheUnitedNations.ItisamemberoftheConferenceonNGOs(CoNGO),anassociationofNGOswithUNconsultativestatus.

CACCIundertakes,amongothers,thefollowingactivitiesinordertoachieveitsobjectives:

8、年度會議-CACCIholdsAnnualConferencestodiscussregionaleconomiccooperationmeasuresandtodistillandcrystallizebusinessviewpointsandideaswiththeaimofachievingeconomiccooperationanddevelopmentintheregion.Theseeventsprovidememberstheopportunitytomeetandacquaintthemselveswithotherbusinessleadersforconfidencebuildingandbusinesscontacts.

9、與政府機構聯絡-CACCIliaises,throughitsmembers,withgovernmentbodiesconcernedinthepromotionoflawsandregulationsconducivetoregionaleconomiccooperation,andsubmitstorelevantregionalandinternationalbodiespositionpapersarticulatingitsviewsoncurrenttradeandinvestmentissuesofconcerntothebusinesssector.

88、通過產品和服務委員會交互-CACCIencourages,throughitsvariousProductandServiceCouncils,personalcontactsamongbusinessmenoftheregion.ProductandServiceCouncilsrefertoregionalbusinessgroupingsorganizedalongproductandservicelineswhichaimtopromotebusinesscooperation,personalcontactsandtechnologytransfer.Meetingsofthesegroupingsserveasamarketplaceforbusinessmatchingactivitiesandasaforumforsolvingcommonproblemsofthoseinthesamelinesofbusinessorservice.

與國際和地區組織的聯系-CACCIcollaborateswithotherinternationalandregionalorganizationsworkingfortheeconomicprogressoftheregionandtheworld.TheseincludetheUnitedNationsanditsvariousagencies,theInternationalChamberofCommerce,theWorldChambersFederation,theEurochambers,theWorldTradeOrganization,theAsia-PacificEconomicCooperation(APEC)forum,theASEANChambersofCommerceandIndustry,andtheSAARCCCI,amongothers.

85、網絡的業務幫助中心-CACCIprovidesitsmembersaccessintoanetworkofBusinessAssistanceCenters(BACs).BACsaresetupandoperatedbyPrimaryMembers,withtheassistanceofCACCI,tohelptheirownmembersandforeignbusinessmenwhoareexploringorplanningtodobusinessintheirrespectiveareas.BACshelpin:

(a)arrangingmeetingsorcontacts;

(b)settingappointmentswithgovernmentofficials;

(c)providingatemporaryofficewithstaff;

(d)servingasforwardingaddressandmessagecenter;

(e)providinginformationservices;and

(f)extendinguseofbusinessfacilitiesandequipmentasmaybeneededatcost.
